Their algorithm was based on a modified Dixon & Coles model, using Neural Network functionality to predict results and analyse several important betting factors (such as: points, goals, game scores, league position, struggles, players’ characteristics). Their system also examined team dynamics (current form, progression, regression, motivation) and information based on the latest football news & data (injuries, weather, transfers, manager & coach impact). AskBettor has been featured on CNN Money, the Wall Street Journal, Sport1, and their data used to be regularly used by ESPN and Ringier Axel Springer. The AskBettor GoPro membership came in 2 different packages at the moment: 3 months and 12 months. Long story short, this prediction site was definitely worth your money while it lasted – sadly, it was shut down!
Betarazzi (aka: “Betarazzi Predictions for Today“) used to be a football prediction site, some of their football predictions and tips were for free, or you could buy 2 premium odds for 5 USD. As of early 2022, Betarazzi.com had gone offline, seemingly for good.
Sports Betting Quant once aimed to become the largest database of betting strategies, backtested on historical data. At the height of their career, they used to offer: Lay the Draw in Football, Dixon-Coles Model for Football Predictions, Back Premier League Draws in Games without a Clear Favourite, Betting on Home Underdogs in Football, along with Lay Bets in the Range of 1.01-1.07 in Horse Racing Markets, Back the Newcomer in Horse Racing and Back the Favourite in Horse Races. You could request a Strategy, and if you knew any quantitative betting (or trading) strategy that you thought they should have covered, you could simply reach out to them – well, you can still reach out to them, but – as of early 2022 – the site seems to be offline.
Sakastic Bet – (“sakasticbet”, as in: “sarcastic bet”) used to be the newcomer to the betting prediction landscape in 2020, available on sakasticbet.com. Bet Markets was a social betting platform – basically the eToro of sports betting.
SoccerQuote.com was a platform that used real-time monitoring of a football player’s value and let you predict how the player would play during a match. The guys at SoccerQuote used the public value/price of a player and several parameters to create an index that made the value vary during the player’s playing time in order to make it more accurate over time. You could follow your favourite players, see their previous statistics, monitor their live value and then make up your mind to predict the end of the game. They offered you a binary option: you could either upvote or downvote a player’s index, and by doing that, you contributed to the collective intelligence (also called “Wisdom of the crowd” / “The wisdom of crowds” – and by that, we refer to James Surowiecki’s book, rather than CBS’ TV series that never got past the first season).
Prediction HQ was a Nigerian prediction portal that offered free betting predictions on current games – with a special focus on African football, along with the mainstream international leagues. They listed several bet types, such as: accumulator tips, correct score tips, over 2.5 goals and BTTS, not mentioning their “daily two odds” and “win accumulator” tipster service. Their easy-to-read blog articles nicely explained why an outcome they predicted, may have been likely – they used to provide a useful service, overall, so it’s a pity they went bust!
The Monte Carlo Bet Club used to be online since 2014, until they shut down for good. Not to be confused with the Monte Carlo Simulation / Monte Carlo Betting Predictions.
Red Odds – used to offer accurate football predictions, in form of “Premium Tips”, spiked with some hands-on advice here and there (for example the classic investment tip “don’t spend more than 2% of your budget on any particular bet”, applied to sports betting).
Sport-Predictions.com used to publish a table with betting tips, you could also opt in for daily email alerts on upcoming matches, and they sent you their latest football predictions according to the chosen parameters (Team, Home, Away, League, Home Win Price, etc.). Apparently, something did not work out in the long run.
Gratips gave you credits worth 10 free tips upon signup and you could purchase more afterwards. Well, not anymore!
Gibol Tips used to stand for Good Football 1×2 Tips, with free memberships available, and a trial for all betting tips packages for 5 euros per month. Paid picks were available 2 hours before match start.

SciWin used to promise “Over 50% success rate” and the advice one could get on this site was based on the in-depth statistical analysis of large amounts of data, backed up by experts in probability theory, artificial intelligence and computer science. SciWin’s team has come from academia, developed their own algorithms and constantly kept improving the backbone of their system – until the site had ceased to exist sometime in 2018.
